Take An Abandoned Animal Into Your Heart and Home
Please remember, adopting a pet is a long-term commitment. You will need to provide it food, shelter, yearly vaccinations and one-time neutering or spaying. (Financial assistance for neutering or spaying available for those who qualify.)
Take Westwood Boulevard (Bus. Rte. 67) south to Blackwell-Baldwin Ford. Go west on Butler Street, as if going to the service department of the dealership; keep going to the end of the street. For more information, call the shelter at (573) 686-8635, M-W-F 10 a.m.-2 p.m., T-TH 4 p.m.-7 p.m.

- The Animal Shelter is located at the dead-end portion of W. Butler Street, behind Blackwell-Baldwin Chevrolet.
The Poplar Bluff Animal Shelter is not open everyday, so it is best to call the Poplar Bluff Police Department’s Animal Control Division to see if the shelter is open.
Currently they are open:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 2pm.
- Tues and Thursday from 4pm to 7pm.

The Poplar Bluff Animal Shelter has a waiting list so if you are searching for a particular breed, they can contact you when a match becomes available.
FEES
Cats and Kittens: $5.00
Puppies: $5.00
Dogs over 6 months: $15.00
If you Live Outside the City:
The Poplar Bluff Animal Shelter does take in animals from outside
the city limits on Monday and Tuesday by appointment only.

FEES for drop-offs are $4.00 for cats, kittens or puppies and $7.00 for dogs.
The Dept. of Agriculture regulates the number of animals that can be kept at the shelter so they may not always have room to take in animals. Unfortunatly this can be the case especially at peak times when there are so many puppies and kittens out there.
